New thinking on fees
Bootham Pensions & Investments was established with a clear purpose - to deliver integrated, bespoke financial guidance for a reasonable fee. Our initial consultation is at our expense. At this meeting we dedicate substantial time to identify the company’s unique circumstances and financial goals.
Any subsequent guidance or reports conducted are explained in full before we provide any terms of business. This guarantees that there are no hidden or unforeseen costs.
Bootham Pensions and Investments take a fresh and transparent approach to ongoing guidance – with a very competitive rate from 0.33%* per annum for ongoing services. This allows our clients to reduce fee costs for larger portfolios.
Fees are charged for each stage of the guidance process, meaning we never transact business in order to gain a fee.
Background to cost
The cost of regulated advice is one of the most talked about topics in financial services at the moment. A report by HM Treasury and Financial Conduct Authority provided the backdrop to most of these current discussions. Their report, ‘Financial Advice Market Review 2016’ was one of the key drivers behind the formation, pricing structure and services offered by Bootham Pensions & Investments. Advice should be affordable and trustworthy with the clients’ long term interests at heart.
Guidance instead of regulated advice is one way to reduce the cost involved in making financial decisions.
Our headline rate of 0.33%* for ongoing guidance is just one way that we feel we are meeting the needs of clients as highlighted in the Financial Advice Market Review paper. (View here).
We focus on keeping it simple:
A competitive rate from 0.33%* for on-going advice.
*Ongoing service fee for investments/pensions of over £150,000 with a minimum of £50 per month.
